LEGOLAND Malaysia first open on the 22nd of Sept 2012 at Johor Baru. Not very much the fans of Lego, so didnt have the urge to go.
Until one day when Micheal told me he wanted to bring me there for my birthday.
My first impression for this was like;
"Huh, Legoland? Got things to play meh??! O.o"
Cause, for me, Legoland is very much for kids. And imagine lining up for those rides together with kids, it would very much be so akward!!
But STILL! I still "on" for it cause its the very first couple trip with him. And its my birthday trip, so I don't have to pay for ANYTHING! So why not??!
He basically plan EVERYTHING! I just sit there, goyang kaki and wait for him to tell me what's next! So sweet of him right. But things don't turn out as we planned.
In order to save the time for traveling, he decided to take the midnight express bus. Here's what happen.
DAY 1 - 12.01.2014
Departed at 12.30am at TBS Terminal to Johor Bahru.
Estimated time to reach at Johor Bahru is is 5.30am (as stated on their website)
Due to me who is a picky-sleeper, I'm not able to sleep well on the bus. I keep waking up whenever the bus stop to drop down passenger that stops halfway.
Then, by 3.30am, the bus stop at one of the Johor Bahru station where almost half of the people in the bus got down. As we couldn't see the name of the station, we did not get down.
And only after that, we realize we had MISS THE STOP!!!
And the next stop is Singapore Custom!!!
We quickly got down at the custom and tried to find a taxi to get us back to the previous stop. But its 3.30am in the morning, and there is no taxi around the Custom.
No choice, so we walked by the highway to see if we are able to stop at vehicles and perhaps, some taxi who drives at night. We were lucky enough to get a taxi and took us back to the previous bus stop where Micheal's uncle is going to fetch us there is the morning.
We reached the previous station, named Terminal Larkin (there is no signboard at the station!!!) and got ourselves a table at the McDonalds nearby. At that time being, I was annoyed by him, cause he not only take away my sleep time (which is a no-no) but also makes me walked sooooooo far in the middle of the night. But I know is not his fault at all. Who knows the bus reaches the destination 2 hour earlier than expected time??!!!
I try my best to fall asleep at the tables in McD, while he finds his own sweet time with games in his phone till about 7am. I did some homework too on the places that we MUST go in JB, so we decided to have breakfast at one of the places that is reachable within 30 minutes walk. Yeah, this is the disadvantages of traveling without car.
I forget the name of this restaurant actually, but they serve very nice and healthy clear soup noodles with a lot of stuff in it. It costs us RM 7 for a medium bowl of noodles, RM 5 for a small bowl and RM 9 for a large one.
We chill here till about 8+ to 9 and his uncle comes to fetch us to LEGOLAND!!!
At this time being, I'm still very sleepy due to the lack of sleep. In the future, I will definitely say NO to traveling in midnight.
LEGOLAND opens at 10am, and we are already there at 9+. So we just walk around after we bought the ticket. For Lego lovers, this is a place where you should go. You will be amazed by their decoration!
The entrance fees that caused us RM150 per person, which covers only the Theme Park and Water Park and also a RM10 food voucher. Not gonna come here again until my future daughter and son is old enough to play here. Its definitely not worth it for me.
LEGOLAND Hotel! If you are able to, it would be more worth to buy their package that comes with the hotel stay.
Even their toilet door is decorated with Lego wallpaper.
Selfie before going in. Our eyes look so small, the results of lack of sleep.
A must-take photo at the entrance. Failed picture, the passerby cameraman don't know how to take picture.
We went to the Theme Park first, even though the people there ask us to play the Water Park first due to the chances of rain. Cause we do not want to get ourselves sweaty again after bathing.
For me, the LEGOLAND concept is more or less the same as Universal Studio. But one thing is only 40% of the rides we adults can play. Others are all in mini size.
While on one of the rides. Its like a spinning tower where we are able to view the whole LEGOLAND.
After that we went to the Water Park. One thing I don't like about their concept is that they have border between the Water Park and the Theme Park. And you couldn't transfer your locker from the Theme Park to the Water Park. So to save money on locker (which cost RM20 per locker), we need to walk in and out to change and bath and everything.
Us after Water Park. Both of us got a little sun burn. But for me its still okay cause I applied lots of moisturizer after that.
His uncle came and fetch us after that. We went dinner then we stay over night at his uncle house.
Nothing much on first day, and basically its all about LEGOLAND.
Day 2 - 13.01.14
His uncle and aunty got a lunch appointment at KL at 11am, so they needs to leave the house at 6.30am. They leave means we needs to leave too.
While waiting for all the other to shops to open, we just hang around at McD, waiting for their McCafe to open too.
Selfie in the morning is also a no-no, especially when u have to wake up at 5.30am and do not have enough sleep.
We basically had nothing to do on the 2nd day, so we just take bus, walk around town and eat.
While waiting for bus to take us back KL at 4pm.
This marks the end of the trip. Even though tired and not very happy at first, but I did enjoy spending time with this guy. Thanks for everything!
