Blind Date on Hari Raya~~Day 2

Randomly drive to Melaka on the 2nd day of Hari Raya.
The elderly had never been to a night Jonker Street.
We left the quite late.
Not as early as we usually does.

Drove there to try their Klebang Coconut Milk Shake.
But was closed due to Hari Raya.
So we headed to Nadeje.

 We have more people today.
My 2 cousie join.
That give me a chance to drive after so long in Singapore.
Honestly miss driving.

Matching outfit with Mummy.
She look so cool in her denim even though she is already in her 50's

1st attempt to selfie wit the tower behind
*Fail*

 Second attempt
*Pass*

She say she want to show off to her student that she got Frozen too.
Cute her.

Later on, my phone was dead.
So not much picture taken.

Look forward to our next gathering!!!

Blind Date on Hari Raya ~~ Day 1

I have to say that I am really really lucky.
I've got off day on Mother's,  Day & Father's Day.
Not to mention, I also got off days on Hari Raya.

Hari Raya was supposed to be Muslims CNY.
They should be the one entitled for off days.
I actually felt kinda bad for them.
Its just like our CNY, its the time of the year where we are able to gather with all our family members.

But in the aviation industry, airplanes don't stop flying on festive seasons.
Instead, it is the time of the year where prices of air tickets hike up high like mountain.
Because everyone is getting out of the country to spend the holidays with the family members.

I've got the privilege to get back home into the arms of my family members on this festive season.
Without any planning, we just drive out to explore around the city.
Since it is the public holiday, traffic was not as jam as usual.
Good time to travel though.

On the first day of Raya, we decided to just chill around.
To start off the day, we had breakfast at a restaurant nearby.

After that we head our way to Kajang to pick up my another Aunty.
And also to drive her Exora sincce my Mum's Honda City couldn't fit the 7 of us.

Our plan was to head to Putrajaya and just have a look around.
Me myself have been there twice, but not for them.
My Dad knows this place where they have the service of bicycle rental.
You can rent a bicycle and cycle around the park, admiring the beautiful nature.
It only cost RM15/hr.

But since we were there quite early in the afternoon, we decided to chill in a shopping mall nearby.
So that it would not be too sunny for us and also to make sure we do not got sunburn,

Was trying out the new fish eye lens I bought from Xi An, China.
Photography taking skill failed.

三点三, 下午茶时间到!!

Toilet selfies.
Like their mirror. So big and clear that it fit everyone of us in.

Finally the sun goes down.
And its time for some exercise.

Poserssss

Soon after, this would become memories.
3 of us departing to 3 different countries.
Chasing owns dream

The bike was too small for him.
Thats what got him panting. Hahaha

 MV poster #2

 So emo

 MV poster #3

 Nice hair, says my brother.

Family portrait #1

The bicycle shop closes when the sun goes down.
And its time for dinner!!!!
Before that, we passby the Putrajaya bridge and also the pink mosque.
Tourist tend to visit these places which symbolize Putrajaya.
It actually looks nicer at night, but guess we don't have that much time.

 Picture with the bridge.
A must though!

 Malaysia's Titanic.

 The "tiny" Pink Mosque behind.

Trying to act weird.
Succeed??!!

Headed to steamboat dinner after that.
Quite a succesful day 1 perhaps.

*Stay tune to Day 2*

First Layover - Xi'An Day 2

Woke up abit late on the 2nd day.
Since today is also shopping day.
Does not have much motivation to wake up though.

Today we had breakfast at Sofitel.
Was staying in Grand Mecure Hotel.
But Sofitel is also the sister hotel.
You just need to add another 40RMB to try their breakfast there.
Buffet breakfast for only $8, why not!!

After that, we went to Muslim Street (回民街)
Its like Malaysia's pasar malam.
Its a whole stretch of street with goods and street food.
This is also the first time where the whole set of crew came along.
Except for the dinner in Hai Di Lao.

 One of their street food.
Spicy Tofu (麻辣豆腐)
Food in Xi'An are mostly spicy.
Do train yourself to get used with the spicy taste before you come here.
If not you will miss out a lot of food.

 Their famous BBQ meat.
They have pork, beef and also mutton.
But one thing, they recycle the stick.
Means you are not only tasting the BBQ meat, but also some other people's saliva.
P/S: I did not try this.
Surprisingly, Xi'An is very famous for their yogurt drink.
Different from the yogurt drink you have in Singapore or Malaysia.
Xi'An's yogurt drink is like yogurt.
The sticky white yogurt you had in Malaysia and Singapore.

I actually bought a whole box back to Singapore.
Hahahaha, greedy me.

Ma batchmate, Joe.

Saw them making this super large bread.

 Look nice.
But taste wise, its like eating plain Gardenia bread.

BBQ chicken I guess.

 Was at a phone store.
Testing out my new fish eye lens.
Only cost me $6

From left: Joe, Captain Davis

Another yogurt-based food
They even have yogurt ice-cream.
Super nice.

 Part of the street.

Xi'An is also famous for their red dates and nuts.

My FO, Ryan trying out the 玫瑰镜糕.
He says its nice.
Perhaps next time can try.
 See...yogurt everywhere!!!
<3 p="">

Davis trying out peaches in Xi'An

 Their famous beef stew noodle.
Its like ban mian but a bit salty.

Young coconut to quench the thirst.
Only cost $2

My must-do whenever I travel.
Did not manage to buy the Starbucks card due to lack of cash.
Wait me, will be back next time.
